hi!
I am using windows 2003 standard edition, the RAM on the server is 4gb, the database is 10g release 2. the virtual memory is 7.5 gb. there is an oracle database on the server which is having 1.7 gb memory configured(sga + pga). The value of proceess=150 and sessions=170 in spfile. The database hangs when the v$sessions shows number of session around 150, what can be reason for database hanging, The page file usage is around 3 gb, there are no other applications running on the server, what can be the reason for such high usage of page file.
