Hi Gurus

I am having a prod server(which has a standby DB on a different host) on hpux with oracle version 9.2.0.8 . I need to apply CPU July 08 patch to the primary and to the secondary Db as well.

Now I need to know if before bringing down the system do I need to take any extra care.

Take the backup before applying the patch.
