i installed 10.2.0.1 in AIX server and without creating database i updated to 10.2.0.3
It showd that succefully installed the patch.But aftr that i am not able to connect as sysdba
.Its throwing follwing error

$ sqlplus
/usr/bin/procmap : no such process : 1261778
/usr/bin/procmap : no such process : 1261778
/usr/bin/procmap : no such process : 1261778

Hello,

I know that their was a procmap bug introduced on AIX in 10.2.0.3 but it didnt manifest like this. Can you execute procmap on another process that you know is running (maybe the process from your own session) whilst logged in as oracle.

procmap is a unix binary.

Have a look at the man pages for usage.
