Cannot install Oracle 10g to windows itanium. I checked my server configuration and software configuration.
Oracle Version : Oracle 10g release 2 Windows itanium 64 bit
OS: Windows 2003 Enterprise Edition 64-bit Itanium
Server : HP Itanium (rx6600)
I reinstalled Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise Edition Service Pack 2. Downloaded the Oracle Database 10g R2 Standart Edition and unzipped the file. Went into the 'database' folder and clicked setup.exe, it launches a DOS prompt and then dies, it does not launch the OUI.
Download is not corrupted. Oracle isn't able to handle spaces in the directory paths. I copied all the media to d:\oracle and it ran from there.
I again again again format and re-install windows and oracle but not runing Oracle Universal installer.
Error in DOS Prompt : No pre-requisite checks found in oraparam.ini, no system pre-requisite checks will be executed.
