Hello,

The other person who installed Oracle isn't in the company and we need to access like administrator but we don't have the ID or password. Is there some option to reset or obtain them???

The idea isn't reinstall the software!!!

Thanks everybody

You can "connect / as sysdba" without a password, once you are logged in as the Oracle OS user on the server.

You can reset the OS user password with a OS Administrator/root.

If you have lost the OS Admin/Root password the procedure to recover that would be dependent on the OS, which you didn't post like it is asked in the guidelines of the forum, so please read them first and post the required information.

You still haven't clarified if you need the Oracle database user or the Oracle operating system user.

Connect on the server as a Windows administrator
Open Computer Management box
Search in local groups who is in ORA_DBA group
Connect on the server as this user
Then you can connect to the database with "/ as sysdba" and change the password.
