Hi,

I have installed Oracle 9i. When I try to create a database,
it throws the following error.

ORA-01092: Oracle instance terminated. Disconnection forced.

I dont know how to fix this problem. Kindly suggest me pls...

Have a look at sppol file and alert.log.

Hi...

alert log file is not created. So i cant able to check for errors in alert log file. ALthough database creation has failed, it creates all the control files, data files and log files.

Even then i cant able to mount the datbase.

Hi pls check regional setting if you are using windows platform if so set english to all
