A few questions that I want to know:

How oracle works internally?

How is the main importance of using dual table? How or why only Dual table?

I did search in Google [ http://oreilly.com/catalog/orinternals/chapter/ch01.html ] and got some information. But is there any link from where I can have more information.

Thanks
Olivia

Quite well.
I think it is not the first I point you to the Database Concepts, you really should read it.

Because Oracle does not support SELECT without FROM.

Explain question.
How what?
Why what?
Why "only"?
