Hi,
1. I am vijay and if I want to find out the total size filled in a datafile.
2. I also want to know how should one find out the size of a table and whether it's reaching maxextents.

Hallo Vijay,
have a look at the Data Dictionary Views. For example dba_free_space, dba_segments.
For the size of a table: analyze table... ,select from dba_tables blocks,empty_blocks....
