Suggest it to Oracle, but don't hold your breath. I can't think of any way you can currently restrict the way a column is displayed (or not) when retrieved from the database.

If you're worried about the security of storing passwords in a table (and you should be!), you'll need to encrypt/decrypt them in your application.
