Database shifting from UNIX to WINDOWS [message #375890]

Hi,
We have a production server located at Suse UNIX.

We would like to move database from UNIX to WINDOWS.
I would like to know what are the difficulties/scenarios which occures while moving the database?

How difficult is it to import current oracle database to oracle on windows server ?

Please explain in details.

You need setup the detailed procedure yourself by moving a test database from Unix to Windows. Just remember that you cannot use backup/restore, but export/import or transportable tablespaces should work just fine.

PS: Why do you want to run on Windows anyway? Isn't Unix a superior server operating system?

Oracle database version is - Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.1.0
Can anybody provide me the standard procedure note so that i can go through it?

Actually this is client requirenemt thats why need to move from unix to windows Sad

More details in the documentation that you have to study and test to design a correct migration for your environment.
