Hi,

I have a 10.2.0.4.0 database with the database as open state.

I want the database to be in mount state as well as in nomount state WITHOUT SHUTTING DOWN the database.

Thanks in Advance

Regards,
Vishnu

That is unfortunately not possible.

The startup sequence consists of 3 exclusive and successive states: NOMOUNT -> MOUNT -> OPEN.

I should say 4: NOMOUNT -> MOUNT -> OPEN -> DOWN
