Hi Everybody,

I have used the below command to extract the ddl of the tablespaces but when i execute this command in the server i get

the error as below.

SQL> select dbms_metadata.get_ddl('TABLESPACE','TOOLS') FROM DUAL;

ORA-03113 End of file on communication channel.

no rows selected.

But i have used the command in other database it works well.

Someone might have experienced this.

Thanks & Regards,
Seenu.

Check if there was any connection problem or error in alert.log.
Otherwise ORA-00600/ORA-07445/ORA-03113 = Oracle bug => search on Metalink and/or call Oracle support.

Michel

Hi Michel,

I didn't find any errors or information recorded in alert.log file.

And no trace files are also generated. I ran the commands several times and everytime i get the same response.

Thanks & Regards,
Seenu.

So you are hitting a bug and should search on Metalink and if you don't find anything you have to call Oracle support.

Yes Michel you are right.

I have searched and the bug no is 3022016.

It is said that it is fixed in 10.1 version.

I am searching for an workaround other than upgrading my database.

Thanks for your information.
Seenu.

Did you notice that the bug is related to AL32UTF8 database character set?
Is this your case?

Michel
