Hi,
I have oracle 10g with ASM running on AIX unix. I over allocated space in one of the tablespace and wanted to resize the data file. But before doing that I want to know the High Water Mark and resize the datafiles accordingly. Can someone tell me how to find the HWM and how to calculate the size based on HWM?

Find the allocated size of the datafile.
Find how much much space is used within the datafile.
You can only shrink to a size somewhat above the size used.
Search the forum. All these are asked and answered numerous times.
The method may may vary depending on type of tablespace management.
