What's your database version?

Hi,
Oracle Database 10g (10.2.0.1) on RHEL5.
I have to increment the value SGA_MAX_SIZE and
to configure automatic management of SGA for the instance.

Thanks,
Marcos Santos

Modifiable No

SGA_MAX_SIZE specifies the maximum size of the SGA for the lifetime of the instance.

Yes you can configure automatic shared management using SGA_MAX_SIZE but you can't changes this parameter dynamically.

SGA_TARGET - This is dynamic parameter

In the limit of SGA_MAX_SIZE which is set by default to SGA_TARGET.
