Dear All,
We are considering of building a database to be primarily used for datawarehousing. We need to know more about the physical layout: what type of raid configuration for the data files, what should be the ideal size of LUNs, and how much space to allocate for the FRA, how big should be the size of the redologs etc. The database size we are estimating now would be between 1 to 1.5TB. Any suggestion, direction, advise would be highly appreciated.

It may not always be possible to provide a specific size recommendation for redo log files, but redo log files in the range of a hundred megabytes to a few gigabytes are considered reasonable. Size your online redo log files according to the amount of redo your system generates. A rough guide is to switch logs at most once every twenty minutes.
