I have an rman instance in oracle 9
the instance crash and disappear suddenly.
I need to recover it by restarting the rman instance again.
There is no any information in the log like alert log as I search
before already.No any log information certainly.
How can I set trace or debug for this instance
So , next time ,it crash again ,I can have information to pass to support ??
Any advice

You mean RMAN catalog database?
The standard oracle database log file (alert_sid.log) is the starting place.

I check already ,
No information in that file /log .

post the most relevant contents of the alert log.
Any crash would usually leave some trace files.
Look for trace files generated around the same time.

What is the problem now?
Are you able to restart it?
Did you lose something?
RMAN catalog database is the same as any other database, restore and recover it from your backup (if needed).

trust me .
There is no any information in the log or trace file .
Or the administrator have been deleted it ...
So, any advice on setting trace ?????

The man instance can restart by command.
But I have no information about why it crash.
So, is it possible to set trace in it , so next time , it crash again, I can have more information what cause it crash ...
Any advice ???

So you have no problem now.
Check udump for trace files.
Maybe the processes were killed.
Without any trace files or lines in alert.log, you will never know what happened.

So, How can I set "open the trace" or set debug mode for that instance ??So, next time , I can have more trace/debug for that instance if it crash again ??
Any advice how to set it ???/

Nothing to do, traces are ALWAYS active for this event.
