hello
can we apply 11.1.0.7 Patch Set on a 10.2.0.3 database server?
i mean are patch sets cumulative or do i have to install the patch specific to my release
the issue is i have the below error with rman:
RMAN-03009: failure of delete command on ORA_DISK_1 channel at
ORA-19633: control file record is out of sync with recovery catalog

No, definitively no.
Wan you apply patch for Windows 7 on Windows XP? Do you even ask this question?

Yes you can go with 10.2.0.5 on 10.2.0.3

Is RDBMS 10.2.0.5 really out? I doubt about it.

OK, In this case you could say 10.2.0.2 and 10.2.0.4 to avoid any additional question.

Hi,

It's better to have upgraded to 10.2.0.4. Oracle recommends it is the most stable version of 10g family. Many bugs are already fixed in the version. Mostly some ORA 600 those can really create some issues.
