I have an application that fills up my TEMPDB space. I'm upgrading to 10.1.0.5 on Wed night, this will eliminate the bug.

My question is 2 part:

1) When I upgrade to 10.1.0.5, will that truncate the space? If not, how can I do that?

2) Also, i have a very large TEMPDB space from expanding it so many times. What is best way to reduce the size of this tablespace once it is cleared?

Thank you

My user DB's total 3gig, my TEMP database is 75gig. It will need to be reduced back to 33G once the upgrade happens.

If it is in use, create a new temp tablespace, assign the users to it, move the GTT to it, restart the database and drop the previous temp tablespace.

1. No.It will not truncate the TEMPDB space.
2. Drop that TEMPDB and create another one.

Which still does not add anything to an old topic.
Why do you waste your time to post in old and already answered topic?
